A Neutral and a Bright

This shoulder bag was made out of a lot of bread bags, a few department store bags and some newspaper delivery bags.

When I completed this long-handled custom bag in neutrals, I was very ready for the splash of color that became this yellow bag. All of the material for this one came from newspaper delivery bags.

The gray-tan bag

The plarn (plastic yarn) for this bag is pictured in a previous post.

I used a stockinette stitch for this bag, plus whole wheat bread wrappers and dark gray & tan newspaper delivery bags. A few pinks and burgundies round out the color palette.

An interesting effect of the stockinette stitch is that it caused the top edge of the bag to roll outwards slightly.

green bag

This bag and the greay-tan bag were made from the plastic yarn pictured in the previous post.

This bag used a lot of green plastic (mostly from Bounty paper towels -- see the fists on the bow above -- and carrot bags) and a few other bright colors

What else? even more bags!

I decided to experiment with longer handles/straps, and more bright colors.

Another bag with lots of colors. I was surprised at how different the two sides of this one were.

I decided to take some pics of the balls of plarn Clare's been making for me. I'll have photos of the finished bags soon.
